For high performing entrepreneurs, executives and anyone who is working hard all the time and is feeling stuck, burnt out, hopeless, unproductive and tired. Resting doesn't meaning loosing your edge, resting means gaining it back.
At age 33, I was burnt out and couldn't get out of bed. My doctor ran a bunch of tests on me and determined that my biological age was 58. That's right; my body was functioning like I was 25 years older than I actually was because I was so hard on my mind and body. I couldn't cure my fatigue regardless of how much sleep I had the night before. I couldn't figure out how to get any energy back into my body. I spent considerable resources on doctors, sleep tests, supplements, diets, personal trainers, and health tech to help me diagnose and fix my lack of energy. I could barely work more than 2 or 3 hours a day most days. I really couldn't go on living my life like this, nor did I want to. This went on for a few years until I discovered a few things about myself including, how to actually rest better.
Over my career, I have been in corporate and entrepreneurial environments. I've spent a lot of my time in the fast-paced, relentlessly over-demanding ad agency and marketing space. I've always loved my work, but throughout a part of my career I had been unable to balance my work's love, passion, and energy with my mind and body's need for rest and recovery, until I learned how to rest.
Today, I am able to manage the demands of my intrinsic ambition, plus a family, plus all that life has to throw at me, the good and the surprises. I've worked with many people who are also where I once was, and I share all the knowledge and support I can to help all people live a more meaningful, restful, and productive life.
